Through Positive Psychology we can identify and build the behaviors that lead to well-being and your most powerful growth. Through A.C.T. or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy we may practice Mindfulness meditation and other stress-relieving and balancing exercises to help release anxiety, depression, trauma, addictions and habits of thinking or behavior which prevent us from living our most meaningful lives. As a Registered Expressive Arts Therapist on the Western Slope of Colorado and Northern New Mexico, Marcie can assist children, adolescents, adults and families in expressing and communicating difficult, charged or previously undeveloped awareness of self and others through visual art, writing, journaling and Somatic or Body Movement Experiencing. As a Certified Group Psychotherapist Marcie helps groups create therapeutic and supportive counseling processes for the specific needs of families, organizations and businesses/Employee Assistance Programs. She assists diverse towns, communities and organizations in creating and presenting community unification celebrations drawn from shared roots and collective vision for the future. And, always, Marcie is a celebration artist, ritualist and festivarian. She enjoys creating collaborative, transformational arts performances throughout the Midwest and West.
